Industry Partnership Program

With support from Delaware Sea Grant and Public Service Electric & Gas, University of Delaware botanists John Gallagher and Denise Seliskar are developing new techniques for controlling the invasive marsh plant Phragmites australis.

Delaware Sea Grant encourages partnerships with industry by setting aside $100,000 in federal funds that can be accessed by investigators only if they have an industrial partner that is willing to match the funds, dollar for dollar, either in cash or in-kind services. This approach has resulted in partnerships with Public Service Electric & Gas, the DuPont Company, and other industries.
