Interpretive Signs at the Beach

Beachgoers take in the rip current interpretive sign.

Tens of thousands of vacationers in Bethany, Dewey, and Rehoboth Beach have acquired knowledge about rip currents, coastal storms, coastal dunes, and dolphins from interpretive signs developed through a partnership program involving Delaware Sea Grant and local coastal communities. Topics and themes for future signs are limitless, and the partners will continue to work together to provide Delaware's visitors with information and education about Delaware's coast.
