Marine Advisory Service (MAS) The mission of the University of Delaware Sea Grant Marine Advisory Service (MAS) is to facilitate the wise use, conservation, and development of coastal and marine resources by acting as a conduit between university researchers and a wide variety of citizen users, from marine resource managers to coastal business owners. The MAS assists these groups in solving problems and addressing new opportunities by providing timely, objective information and techniques. This technology and information transfer may take the form of applied research projects, workshops and training seminars, one-to-one consultations, publications, videos, and other media. Currently, the Delaware Sea Grant MAS is addressing issues related to aquaculture, coastal business and economic development, coastal resource management and conflict resolution, K-12 education and lifelong learning, marine safety and weather services, and seafood technology. Composed of a director and six specialists, the MAS is based in Lewes, Delaware, in the Graduate College of Marine Studies on the Hugh R. Sharp Campus. The MAS travels throughout the state to work with clientele. For assistance, please contact the MAS director or the appropriate MAS specialist:
