In the Delaware Bay, horseshoe crabs can be seen on almost any spawning beach during the high tides that occur in late spring. However, loss of habitat and overharvesting are of rising concern.

Although horseshoe crabs have proven their resilience to environmental changes, humans may ultimately test the limits of their endurance.
