1632    Reach bottom, and park while Atlantis runs a survey -- depth is 2620 meters

1711    Survey finished. Head towards Parago

1714    We see old sulfide

1723    We arrive at Genesis -- massive diffuse flow, lots of flock

1729    Start taking temps, and picking places to sample

1751    Begin sipping from small mound in front of large Riftia Pillar. All tubes fairly cold (9-20) most in the low 10s

            #1 – misfire

            #2 – slow draw

            #3 – very slow draw

            #4 – good draw

1814    Collect Alvinella from location sipped

1838    Flood Chamber 1

1840    Collect Riftia from base of large pillar into biobox. HiT shows 78

1857    Collect basalt

1900    Onwards -- we drive around through a blizzard of flock looking for grand bonum, but can’t find it. We eventually give up and go back to Genesis. We can’t see any mussels to collect, but we do manage to get another rock.
