1601 Taking Sipper sample #1, 40–53°C.

1606 Collect ASU unit at 4687 x 77646.

1607 ASU unit in front biobox.

1610 Temperature survey after collecting the ASU unit: side of the pan = 325°C, center of the pan = 314.08°C.

1615 DLK check with a Toshiba laptop — error “Serial port timeout.”

1740 In Tica, can see FRIES out port window, x 4564 y 78170.

1750 Collecting Monika’s Babytrap #8.

1759 Collected Monika’s Babytrap #10. When collected, entire mound of tubeworms is still attached to it. Bruce is removing the largest worms that won’t fit in the biobox, but there are a few worms still attached. A crab from this tubeworm clump fell off and landed in the middle biobox with the 2nd ASU Frying pan that we collected. A tubeworm fell in (Riftia or Tevnia), but Bruce pulled it out.

1815 We still can’t find the third Babytap (#9, but marker not attached). We did find another detached marker (MB #3), but no babytrap. We’re moving on to the next objective.
