What is your job on the ship? To analyze water samples that are brought up on the submarine.

How long have you worked on Atlantis? This is my first cruise, so I’ve been here about two days.

Where are you from? Arizona State University.

What is the most unusual thing you have seen on a cruise? Yesterday we saw a large pod of dolphins, unusual for someone who lives in a desert.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten? Probably sea urchin sushi — kinda gooey.

What is the scariest thing that has ever happened to you? Getting lost in the woods in Vermont, but I made it out!

If you didn’t have this job, what would be your next job of choice? School teacher, or a curator in a museum.

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever had to endure? Putting myself through school without any external help. It was definitely worth all the hard work!

Where’s the coolest place you have ever been? Why? When I was in Europe about five years ago, I went to a forest on an island that had a big observation tower. At the top, it was like you could see forever.
