Where are you from? Lewes, Delaware (Born in Cincinatti, Ohio; raised in Plymouth, Massachusetts)

What is the most unusual thing you have seen on a cruise? Crew member dressed as Britney Spears

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten? Take your pick: sea cucumber, live brittlestar (starfish relative), live shrimp, rattlesnake pizza.

What is the scariest thing that has ever happened to you? Car accident where someone ran a stop sign and hit the driver’s side (mine) dead on. I was very lucky and only broke two ribs and bruised a kidney.

If you didn’t have this job, what would be your next job of choice? Landscape architect, garden designer

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever had to endure? Finishing my dissertation

Where’s the coolest place you have ever been? Why? Atlantis/Alvin/bottom of the sea with creatures — never expected to go and beyond my wildest imagination.
