Leading The Way…With Your Help!

The College of Marine & Earth Studies (CMES) continues to play a leading role in educating marine and earth scientists, marine policy specialists and the general public. As a friend of CMES, you can partner with us by making a gift to the college.

Enhancing The Opportunities For Students

Whether in the field or in our modern instruction and research facilities located on both the Newark campus and at the Hugh R. Sharp campus in Lewes, graduate and undergraduate students have the opportunity to work closely with our world renowned faculty, perform cutting-edge research, get practical field experience and learn about marine and earth systems, structures and policies.

Students can learn about the earth and ocean aboard the 146 ft state-of-the-art research vessel, R/V Hugh R. Sharp, working with an autonomous underwater vehicle, exploring the amazing array of geological features, marine life, and ecosystems on a study abroad trip to New Zealand, or engaged in learning in one of our ITV classrooms. The Department of Geological Sciences is also home to the Irenee DuPont Mineralogical Museum.

Your gifts help CMES continue its work and fund graduate and undergraduate student opportunities.

Direct Your Gift

Gifts to the College of Marine and Earth Studies can be directed to specific CMES programs or department or to the Dean's office in support of the graduate fellowship fund, undergraduate scholarships or to benefit undergraduate field experiences.

Corporate Gift Matching Programs

Many corporations have a matching gift program where they will match your gift to the College. If you or your spouse work for a matching gift company, please consider having your gift matched by the employer. Find out if your employer will match your gift.
